My Story

I am always happiest making something. I like foraging for plant material and creating something both figurative and wild, using ordinary materials. I especially like the feeling of recognizing an archetype and trying to bring it into visual focus using these means.

The faces are all originals which I model and then rebuild with papier mâché and plaster, adding found natural ephemera.  I love the amazing patterns of growth and form and the endless variety of natural materials.

Every artist has a story, and mine is that I kept my artwork from the world, sold none of it, and promoted very minimally. The collection is complete, 30 years later, and ready to be seen.
